The history of Pragati Social Service society is very evident that besides it’s multifarious activities, from the very beginning, PSSS has been ever ready to promptly organize ameliorative and healing services whenever the nation has been faced with sudden calamities caused by freaks of nature, follies of men, or scourges of epidemics. Its relief and rehabilitation activities have extended to all Indian States. During calamities and hardships arising from a variety of causes
	such as famines, floods, fires, epidemics, cyclones, riots, earth¬quakes, and droughts, relief works for victims were carried out on a very large scale during some of the worst national calamities. Such as Gujarat Earth quake and Tsunami in Tamil Nadu. Apart from these, hundreds of small relief works are conducted throughout the year by various Units of PSSS wherever local needs arise.
